Our Commitment to Accessibility
ShineWork is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
ShineWork is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Accessibility Features
- Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, landmark roles, and descriptive labels throughout the site.
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible on all focusable elements.
- Color Contrast: Text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Alt Text: All images include descriptive alternative text for screen readers.
- Form Labels: All form inputs are properly associated with labels using the `for`/`id` attribute pattern.
- Reduced Motion: Animations respect the user's `prefers-reduced-motion` setting.
- Skip Navigation: A skip-to-content link is available for keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Responsive Design: The site adapts to various screen sizes and can be used with browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Known Limitations
We acknowledge that some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to address these limitations, including:
- Photo carousel timing may need adjustment for users who require longer display times.
- Some third-party integrations (when implemented) will need separate accessibility evaluation.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of ShineWork's website. Please let us know if you encounter barriers or have suggestions for improvement:
We will respond to your inquiry within one business day and work with you to address any accessibility concerns.
ADA Title III Compliance
ShineWork complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III, which requires places of public accommodation to provide equal access to goods and services. We interpret "places of public accommodation" under the ADA to include our website and digital services.
We do not discriminate on the basis of disability and are committed to providing an accessible experience for all users, regardless of their abilities or assistive technologies used.
Terms of Service
Last updated: May 30, 2026
1. No Guarantee of Availability
ShineWork makes every reasonable effort to accommodate your requested service date and time. However, we do not guarantee availability for any specific date, time slot, or service type. Scheduling is on a first-come, first-served basis, and requests may be subject to change based on operational needs, weather conditions, staffing, or other factors beyond our control.
2. Service Area Limitations
We currently serve select areas within the DMV region — including Washington DC, Northern Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax County, and surrounding communities), and Maryland (Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and surrounding communities). Services may not be available in all locations within these regions. By requesting a quote or booking a service, you confirm that your address falls within our current service area.
3. Quotes Are Not Contracts
All estimates and quotes provided by ShineWork are good-faith approximations based on the information you share at the time of request. A quote does not constitute a binding contract or guarantee of final pricing. Final charges may differ from the initial estimate depending on factors such as the actual scope of work, condition of the space, additional services requested on-site, accessibility issues, or unforeseen circumstances discovered during service.
4. Dispute Resolution
We strive to resolve any concerns directly and amicably. If a disagreement arises, please contact us first so we can work toward a resolution. If we are unable to resolve the issue informally, both parties agree to pursue binding arbitration in lieu of litigation. Arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, held in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Each party shall bear its own costs and split the arbitrator's fees equally.
5. Limitation of Liability
ShineWork's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or emotional distress.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule service in cases of unsafe conditions, hostile behavior, or incomplete information about the job site.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
